The Housing Land Map sets out, for the first time, the location and size of every local authority housing site in the country and details of another 73 controlled by the Housing Agency.

It also includes 30 large sites controlled by public bodies including the HSE, CIÉ, Coillte and others in Dublin, but details of other State-owned properties will be added over time. It is available at www.rebuildingireland.ie/news/rebuilding-ireland-land-map.

A number of icons are visible, and clicking on each brings up a window. This provides details of the site, including the location, size, ownership, zoning and whether it is serviced, or ready for development as roads, power and water are available. By clicking the 'zoom to' button, the exact site is set out.

The site also contains details of planning permissions granted and applied for in Dublin since the last quarter of 2016, and permissions from other counties will be added.

Details on whether works are under way are available, along with the site location, local authority, number of units granted permission and number being built. A link to the original grant of planning permission is also available.
