IRISH house prices are rising faster than anywhere else in the eurozone except Estonia, new figures show.
House prices here jumped 1.6pc in the third quarter of 2012 compared with a 0.7pc slump in the single currency area as a whole.
Ireland also saw faster house price hikes than almost anywhere else in Europe bar the UK and Baltic states. The average EU decline was 0.4pc.
The data was published for the first time yesterday by the European Union's statistics office.
