A NEW management system will be rolled out at one of the country's busiest maternity hospitals to help improve standards for patients.
Bosses at the Rotunda Hospital in Dublin confirmed they were installing a new clinical information management service from January, which will examine all areas of hospital performance.
Pauline Treanor, secretary general manager, said the hospital had a "long history" of auditing its performances and meeting national standards.
"We now believe we need to expand our scope and begin to benchmark our outcomes in a wider international arena," she said.
The new facility will now help the hospital examine its performance against both Irish and UK standards.
