NEWLY-WED jockey Nina Carberry has put her honeymoon on hold until the summer as the National Hunt season heats up.
Just five days after her midweek wedding to Ted Walsh Jr in Ratoath, Co Meath, she was back to work riding at Leopardstown Racecourse.
"I've no honeymoon planned yet. We'll probably do something in May or June," the 27-year-old said, following her wedding to Ted -- a brother of top jockey Ruby Walsh and son of TV pundit Ted Walsh.
Speaking at yesterday's launch of the charity Jockey Olympics, which take place at the Cheltenham Trial Day in Naas Racecourse on Sunday, February 26, the jockey revealed she was "hopeful" she might get to ride on Organisedconfusion, if he gets the nod for Aintree's Grand National in April.
Yesterday she joined her brother, jockey Paul Carberry, and 2fm DJ Hector O hEochagain to launch the fundraiser for Goal's Horn of Africa appeal.
Among the off-track challenges will be an egg-and-spoon race and a three-legged race.
