Hogan's press officer quits job at department

ENVIRONMENT Minister Phil Hogan's press adviser has tendered her resignation.

Yvonne Hyland (32) has worked as Department of the Environment press officer since just after the minister's appointment to Cabinet following the general election.

She previously worked in the Fine Gael press office. Ms Hyland has given notice and will be finishing up in the job in the coming weeks.

Last night, a colleague paid tribute to Ms Hyland. "Yvonne is an excellent press officer and has done a superb job in the Department of the Environment since her appointment and will be missed greatly by her colleagues."
