Hiding in bins, booking into 10 hotels: What One Direction fans will do

SOME One Direction fanatics in Ireland and the world over are taking their idol worship to all sorts of extremes in a bid to get close to the teenage popstars.
In 2012, the band's security was stepped up significantly following an incident during their tour of the USA in which Niall and fellow member Liam, then both aged 18, had their clothes torn off by 60 overly enthusiastic fans outside their hotel in New York.
Last year members of the band's security team were forced to remove someone from the chart-topping group's dustbin after the fan was found to have been hiding among rubbish for more than four hours in the hope of catching a glimpse of the young idols.
In Dublin this weekend, one young French fan is believed to have booked into 10 of Ireland's top hotels to make sure she is staying in the same location as One Direction tonight.
Earlier this year it was reported that band management considered hiring decoys for each of the five band members in a bid to take the pressure off and disperse the huge crowds of screaming fans that gather wherever they go.
