Heroin worth €500k seized during raid in Drimnagh/Crumlin area of Dublin

HEROIN with a street value of up to €500,000 has been seized during a raid by gardai on a premises in Dublin.

"As part of an intelligence led operation targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Drimnagh/Crumlin area of Dublin Gardai have seized heroin and arrested a male," a garda spokesman said.

At approximately 7pm yesterday evening Gardai from Sundrive Road and Crumlin Garda Stations supported by the Regional Armed Support Unit carried out a planned search on a house in the Crumlin area."

A man in his 20s was arrested.

He is currently detained under the provisions of Section 2 of The Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Sundrive Road Garda Station. He can be detained for up to 7 days.
