Hennessy icon dies aged 103
The death of Kilian Hennessy, Advisory Board Member at LVMH Moët Hennessy-Louis Vuitton has been announced.
He was buried on Friday in Cognac, France, having died on October 1, aged 103.
He was a direct descendant of Richard Hennessy, son of Lord Ballymacmoy.
The Hennessys were 'Wild Geese' from Killavullen near Mallow, Cork, where the ancestral home has remained standing to this day.
Richard joined his Wild Geese relatives in France and in 1765, founded the distillery in Cognac, where his descendants still produce Hennessy brandy.
