Heartwarming charity appeal

IRISH women are knitting up a storm to help raise awareness of heart disease.

Some 10,000 members of the Irish Countrywomen's Association are knitting thousands of hats, scarves and mitten sets to raise cash and help battle the number one killer of women. It is estimated 5,000 women die from cardiovascular disease each year. The hand-knit sets are available at Kilkenny stores across the country.

All profits go to the Irish Heart Foundation.
