Mind Yourself is a mental wellbeing campaign by Independent News & Media (INM) that aims to give you, our readers the tools to navigate the many crises that life inevitably throws up. Over the coming week across our platforms - Independent.ie, the Sunday Independent, Irish Independent and the Herald, we will bring you inspirational stories and expert, evidence-based strategies to help you cope with anxiety and deal with stress.
The theme of Mind Yourself 2015 is how to be happy. Starting today in the Weekend Magazine, we explore the idea of happiness and talk to mental health advocate Niall Breslin about the concept of mental wealth.
In tomorrow's Sunday Independent, Julia Molony writes about her battle with anxiety and on Monday we have a special edition of Health & Living magazine dedicated entirely to nurturing happiness in all areas of your life.
There is expert advice from David Coleman on how to raise happy children, Patricia Casey on recognising happiness and Siobhán Byrne on how exercise can boost your mood. Monday also kicks off our five-day 'How to be Happy' masterclass with psychologist Dr Paul D'Alton, which continues in the Irish Independent and online throughout the week.
