Gavin Glynn suffers serious health setback at Disneyland

YOUNG cancer fighter Gavin Glynn suffered a huge setback last night when he took ill on a trip to Disneyland.
The four-year-old was in Orlando with parents John and Jayne to visit the amusement park, where the Make-A-Wish Foundation was set to make his dreams come true.
However before he could get to Disneyland he took ill and is now in intensive care.
New tumours created a blockage in his stomach and he had to have surgery.
“After being admitted for an infection last week, Gavin had a scan which showed new tumour growth in his pelvis and also in his lungs.
“These aggressive new tumours have already grown rapidly and have caused blockages in Gavin’s abdomen,” a post on Gavin’s facebook read last night.
The youngster, from Greystones, Co Wicklow, suffers from the rare Rhabdomyosarcoma.
Last month hundreds of thousands of euro was raised for the Glynn family to travel to the US for ground-breaking surgery to remove his two tumours.
The procedure was hailed as a “miracle” by his parents looked as if Gavin would make a full recovery however after the latest setback the family will have to prepare for another battle.
