He shoots, he scores a super pic
IT is the selfie that's going to be the envy of his classmates on Monday morning, as a young sports fan poses up beside Republic of Ireland boss Martin O'Neill.
Young Paul Browne (11) saw his opportunity and got in there quick with his smartphone before O'Neill was whisked off to his next engagement.
The senior coach was on a whistle-stop tour of Co Kerry, but made an additional stop at Castleisland where he presented medals to the under-13 boys at Castleisland Soccer Club, who were the Under 13 Division One League winners last year.
And he had a special message to deliver to the boys.
"Roy Keane sends his regards," he said, "but only to anyone who was born in Cork."
He said he didn't feel he was in a battle to establish soccer but felt the Irish people wanted to see a successful side regardless of the game. "But we have a lot of work to do to be as successful as the rugby team," he added.
