A CONSORTIUM of businessmen is promising to provide up to 50 jobs with the reopening of Newbridge greyhound stadium in Co Kildare.
The track closed in March of this year because of what management described as a reduction in attendances, sponsorship and secondary business activity.
The consortium, which is taking over the stadium for an undisclosed sum, is made up of former Irish Greyhound Board (IGB) executive officer David Morgan and former IGB board member Peter Franklin.
