Gowran feels the need for speed at motoring festival

The debut Gowran Festival of Speed continues today at Gowran Park in Co Kilkenny. Among the live events, Freddie Hunt, son of the legendary Formula 1 world champion James Hunt, will demonstrate his father's Hesketh F1 car; many of the country's motor and classic car clubs are in attendance; there is a large truck and bike display, daring track demos from Slowly Sideways, and lots more.

Robbins to headline summit

LIFE coach, author and world class business strategist Tony Robbins will headline next year's Pendulum Summit at Dublin's convention centre.

The multi-billionaire American motivational speaker, who has worked with United States' presidents, business CEOs, sports stars and award-winning actors, will be joined by a diverse range of international and home-grown speakers who have reached the pinnacle of their industry.

Through a series of interactive presentations and discussions, the speakers will demonstrate how they used hard work, innovation and motivation to overcome adversity and maintain a successful, balanced life.
