Government starts talks to cut more from Croke Park agreement

THE Government is to enter new talks with the trade unions next week on getting more out of the Croke Park agreement and negotiations on a successor deal.
Public Spending Minister Brendan Howlin briefed his Cabinet colleagues on plans to get more savings and productivity from the Croke Park agreement.
The Government is to invite the unions to talks this evening with negotiations expected to start next week.
