SOME would say Minister John Gormley would be better spending his time clearing out the trash from Government Buildings and our banks.
But yesterday the Environment Minister was gathering rubbish on Dollymount Strand as part of the launch of the Coca-Cola Clean Coast Week.
"Our fantastic sandy beaches, cliffs, harbours and piers, are a source of great beauty. Ensuring they remain beautiful is something for which we all must take responsibility," he said.
A number of family events, including coastal walks and sand castle competitions, are being held at beaches around the country. Find out more at www.cleancoastproject.org
