ACTOR Aidan Gillen had admitted that he will not be watching the season three grand finale of 'Love/Hate' tomorrow.
The 44-year-old, who won critical acclaim for his role as gangland criminal John Boy in the award-winning RTE drama, has yet to see any of the episodes in the current series shown over the past five weeks.
But contrary to previous comments where he said that he doesn't care what happens in the series since he left, the Dublin-born star told the Irish Independent he does in fact plan to watch the current instalment, after being given the series on DVD for a Christmas present.
"I haven't seen the series yet and I am very keen to see it, it's not lack of interest, I just haven't had any time," he said.
Due to its phenomenal success with audiences, RTE has confirmed that it increased its original 'Love/Hate' DVD order three-fold in order to meet demand.
The highly anticipated climax of the current series will see Nidge ( Tom Vaughan Lawlor) go to war with IRA leader Dano, played by Jason Barry.
Barry flew over from Los Angeles last night and is due to appear on the 'Saturday Night Show' with Brendan O' Connor tonight.
Gillen was speaking at Powerscourt Townhouse Centre in Dublin yesterday, where he was on hand to launch the Simon Community's Christmas-themed House of Light projection show.
"Christmas is a time when those who can afford to, spend and live to excess, so it's an ideal time of year to be approached by a charity with the idea of diverting some of those funds to people who need it more," said Gillen.
