Gardai seize €120,000 worth of drugs in two Dublin searches

GARDAI have seized €120,000 worth of drugs in two separate searches in south county Dublin today.

Gardaí from the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, the South Central Crime Task Force attached to Kevin Street Garda Station and the Donnybrook Drugs Unit were involved in the operation.

Gardai conducted a planned stop of a car on Camden Street this morning.

During the search of the car cocaine with an estimated street value of up to €20,000 was seized and two men (aged 35 and 49) were arrested.  They are currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Donnybrook and Kevin Street Garda Stations.

 In a follow up operation a house was searched in Ranelagh and cannabis herb with an estimated street value of up to €100,000 was seized.

A 27-year-old woman was arrested at the scene and is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Irishtown Garda Station.
