Gardai seek witnesses to serious road accident in Dublin

WITNESSES are being sought by gardai investigating a serious road traffic collision on Griffith Avenue in Dublin yesterday.

The collision occurred at approximately 12 noon between the junctions at Malahide Road and Philipsburgh Avenue.

A lorry and a pedestrian (in his 70s) were involved in the incident.

The pedestrian was taken to Beaumont Hospital where he is currently being treated for his injuries.

The road was closed for a period of time yesterday to facilitate a Forensic Collision examination.
