Gardai renew appeal for missing Breda Delaney (72)
Gardai have renewed their appeal for a missing 72-year-old woman who was last seen on Saturday morning.
Breda Delaney is described as being 5” 4’ in height, of slight build with blonde/grey hair and blue eyes. When last seen Breda was wearing a white cardigan, a grey calf length skirt and black shoes.
Mrs Delaney was last seen at her home in Avondale Court, Blackrock, south Dublin, at 3.30am on Saturday. The pensioner, who is married with one daughter, was reported missing to gardaí on Saturday.
Her daughter Eimear said her mother had been ‘very anxious and distressed' before she went missing. Her daughter described her mother as 'fairly mobile'.

Eimear said that the search was focusing on coastal and mountainous areas.
“I’m still particularly concerned about coastal areas in Dublin, particularly between Dun Laoghaire and Killiney, that kind of area. And also any parks and woodlands, particularly any mountainous areas, we’re checking those as well,” she told RTE's Today with Sean O'Rourke programme.
“She has been be very anxious and distressed lately so in that context… but I would never have expected this.”
“People are being absolutely wonderful," she added.
A major search operation was launched following Mrs Delaney's disappearance and included members of the Dun Laoghaire Coast Guard, life guards and the Civil Defence.
Searches were continuing along coastlines last night.
