FIVE people remained in custody last night in connection with a double killing.
The two women and three men were being questioned in connection with the murders of Breda Waters (28) and Des Kelly (24) in Limerick on January 9.
Both victims had been shot once in the head at a house in O'Malley Park, Southill.
Gardai were granted a further 72 hours at Limerick District Court yesterday to detain a 48-year-old man arrested last Friday in connection with the double killings.
A similar application was made at a special court sitting on Saturday where gardai were also granted three more days to question two men, aged 31 and 27, and a 40-year-old woman arrested last week.
These three suspects will have to be released or charged by early afternoon today.
