AN investigation has been launched into a picture taken at a Calvin Harris concert of a man kissing a semi-naked young woman.

Gardai have not received a formal complaint about the photo, but “duty of care officers” are investigating it," the Herald has learned.

The image, which is said to show a girl from the northside of Dublin, was taken while support act Tiesto was on stage at the 02 on Thursday.

It went viral on the internet after being uploaded to Twitter by a user whose account has now been suspended.

Comparisons have been drawn between it and a picture that was taken in August of a girl performing a sexual act on someone while the rapper Eminem was performing at Slane Castle.

Gardai arrested 23 people |at the Calvin Harris concert – 18 of them for public order offences and the remainder for drugs. Dozens of people were also removed from the venue. A garda suffered a gash to the forehead while arresting someone, but did not require hospital treatment.

One reveller who had been placed in handcuffs shouted and resisted efforts to arrest him, but others went quietly – some with bloodstained clothes.

It is understood that many of those who were detained by gardai were juveniles. Some of them were taken to Store |Street garda station.

The chaotic drink-fuelled scenes at the concert came |just two years after similar events marred a Swedish |House Mafia gig held in the Phoenix Park.
