Gardai probe blaze at pub

SUBSTANTIAL damage was caused to a closed-down pub after a blaze ripped through the building early yesterday.

The fire service attended the Clodagh Bar on Brown Street in Portlaw, Co Waterford, at around 5.20am. Four units brought the blaze under control.

Gardai last night said the incident was still under investigation.

The Clodagh Bar was recently advertised as being for sale with a guide price of €300,000.
