Hi °C | Lo °C A MAN is recovering in hospital today after he was shot during an incident at a house in Mayo.
The victim, who is in his 30s, is believed to have been shot once in the stomach at the house in the Castlegrove area of Castlebar at around 8.30pm last night.
He was brought to Mayo General Hospital but gardai say his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
The house was preserved for a technical and forensic examination as gardai appealed for information about the shooting.
Gardai are today appealing for any information in relation to the incident.
