GARDA are at the scene of a serious road traffic accident in Baldoyle in Dublin.
The accident involving two cars happened on Moyne Road shortly after 10.40pm.
The extent of the injuries of those involved are not yet known, however the accident has been described as 'serious'.
It is understood that one person needed to be cut from the car by the Dublin Fire Brigade who attended the scene.
Gardai are investigating if heavy rain and poor visibility was a factor in the collision.
The stretch of road was closed to allow an examination by Garda forensic collision investigators and diversions were put in place.
The road is expected to be re-opened early tomorrow morning.
