Cold-case detectives probing the 15-year-old murder of a female taxi driver have been given a fresh lead.
A new campaign seeking information on the murder of Eileen Costello O'Shaughnessy was launched last November.
The Justice for Eileen campaign includes a website that the public can use to forward any information they may have.
And one individual recalled seeing two hooded men acting suspiciously in Galway city shortly after the mum of two went missing.
"The information may be something or it may be nothing. It's with gardai now. We believe all information is vital. If it is the case that this is related to Eileen's death it is very much a positive thing that it has emerged," said Henry Hegerty, a relative of the deceased.
The 47-year-old was found dead in her taxi, close to the main Galway-Tuam road on Sunday, November 30, 1997.
To mark the 15th anniversary of her death, Galway taxi drivers placed 'Justice' stickers on their cars.
