Gardai hunt gang after shots fired at house
GARDAI are hunting a gang in what may have been a mistaken attack on an unoccupied house that had its windows shot out.
A gunman, armed with a sawn-off shotgun, jumped from a dark coloured car outside a public house on the Chord Road in Drogheda. He fired one blast at the front door and another into an upstairs window. He then got back into the car in which there were two other men.
The owner of the house is not known to gardai. They have appealed to anyone who may have witnessed the shooting or any suspicious activity on the Chord Road between 8.30pm and 9.30pm last night to contact them. The house was sealed off for a forensic examination.
