Gardai find body of woman missing from her home in Co Kildare since yesterday

THE BODY of a Kildare woman who went missing yesterday, has been found.

Mary Prendergast (61) was last seen by her husband at about 8.30am on the 3rd Jan at their home in Bluebell, Naas.



Her car a Silver Ford Puma car was located at Carnal Way, Kilcullen at 9.15pm last night.



Searches continued this morning and Gardai were assisted by local volunteers, Civil Defence and the Garda Underwater Unit.



The body of Mrs Prendergast, who had three grown-up children, was found this morning.



She had run a B&B business in Naas with her husband Pat who had led the appeal for help in finding her.
