Gardai find body in hunt for missing criminal Philip O’Toole

Gardai investigating the disappearance of criminal Philip O’Toole have found a body in woodlands in Wicklow.
The area around Trooperstown Wood, Rathdrum, has been sealed off for a technical examination and deputy State Pathologist Dr Khalid Jabbar carried out a preliminary examination at the scene after the body was found at 10.55am today by searchers.
The body has now been removed to St. Columcille's Hospital, Loughlinstown, Co Dublin, for a full post mortem examination.
A Garda liaison member has briefed the O’Toole family.
Gardaí are anyonr who may have seen anything suspicious involving persons or vehicles between January 7 today at Trooperstown Wood to contact the incident room at Bray Garda Station on 01- 666 5300, the Garda Confidential Line 1-800-666-111 or any Garda Station.
Father-of-one Philip O'Toole (32) has not made contact with his family since he disappeared earlier this month.
He said goodbye to his partner and child at their home in Thornhill View, Bray, on Monday, January 7. When he failed to return home they reported his disappearance to the gardai the next morning.
