Gardai find €350k after stopping and searching a number of men in Dublin

THREE men have been arrested after approximately €350,000 in cash was found by gardai when they stopped and searched a number and vehicles earlier today.

The men - all aged in their 40s - were arrested for money laundering offences.

"As a result of ongoing investigations and intelligence led targeting of serious criminal activity, members from the Garda Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau and the Special Crime Task Force, stopped and searched a number of persons and vehicles in the Walkinstown, Dublin 12 area on Saturday 24th June 2017," a spokesman said.

"During the searches approximately €350,0000 cash was recovered, to be confirmed with full count following forensic examination."

The three men are are detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Crumlin and Ronanstown Garda Stations.
