Gardai celebrate Croker victory

THE Garda GAA team has romped home to a convincing victory in their annual Gaelic football match against the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI).

The McCarthy Cup fixture at Croke Park ended yesterday with an emphatic 4-17 to 1-6 win for the gardai.

Around 150 people turned out to support the two sides -- including Garda Commissioner Martin Callinan and PSNI Chief Constable Matt Baggott. Also attending was Northern Ireland Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness.
