Gardai believe man (49) is key drugs importer

GARDAI are continuing to question a man who they believe to be a major drugs importer for the west of the country.

The 49-year-old man is one of two men arrested in relation to a significant drugs seizure in Tuam on Tuesday evening.

The two men, who are both in their forties with Galway addresses, are being held at Millstreet garda station.

The pair are being questioned following a garda raid that netted 20kg of herbal cannabis with a garda estimated street value of €400,000.
