Gardai arrest man following drugs seizure with reported street value of €2.5m

Gardai have arrested a man in his early forties following a drugs seizure in Dublin yesterday.

The seizure of controlled drugs was described as a ‘significant quantity’.

The quantity of cannabis herb seized is believed to have a street valye of €2,500,000.

Gardai searched a number of premises in the Coolock area following an intelligence-lead operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs in the Dublin region.

The searches were carried out by Gardai from Coolock Drugs Unit as well as local uniformed Gardai.

The arrested man is currently being detained at Coolock Garda Station and can be detained up to seven days.
