Trainee gardai will now be confronted with an exact replica of the scenario that cost Elber her adored family.
Gardai have arrested one woman and seven men, all aged in their teens and twenties.

Gardaí investigating unofficial motoring events held in public and at night in the Co. Clare area have arrested eight people.

Gardaí became aware of planned and organised events involving the drivers of modified cars and as a result an operation targeting these events was mounted.

One such event was organised in the North Clare area on the night of March 7, 2014, starting on the promenade in Lahinch and attended by about 70 vehicles.

The group made their way to the Cliffs of Moher continuing on to Doolin and onto Corkscrew Hill in Ballyvaughan where the main event occurred.

Gardaí carried out searches this morning  at two houses in Co Clare, on the back of intelligence they'd gathered.

Eight people in total have also been arrested at various locations in the county.

One woman and seven men all in their teens or twenties are detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Kilrush, Ennistymon, Ennis and Shannon Garda Stations.
