Gardai appeal for witnesses in connection with serious assault in Dublin city

Gardai are appealing for witness in connection with a serious assault in Dublin city over two weeks ago.

A man (26) received life threatening injuries in the altercation which happened at around 7.50am on July 13.

The incident happened around the junction of St. James Walk/Reuben St, Dublin 8. 

The injured man was taken to St. James Hospital where he underwent surgery. He has since been released from hospital.

A 33-year-old man was arrested and detained at Kilmainham Garda station under the provisions of section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 as amended on the 13th June 2015. He was later released without charge. Investigations are ongoing.

Gardai in Kilmainham are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have information - in particular anyone who may have been waiting at the Fatima Luas stop - to contact them in Kilmainham on 01 6669700, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
