Gardai appeal for witnesses after pedestrian in her 70s struck and killed by car in Finglas

GARDAI in Finglas are appealing for witnesses to a fatal road traffic accident which occurred on the North Road, Finglas, this morning.

A female pedestrian aged in her 70s was seriously injured when she was struck by a car at around 11.20 this morning.

She was taken by Ambulance to the Mater Hospital where she was later pronounced dead. The driver of the car was uninjured.

A technical examination of the scene was carried out by forensic collision investigators.
