GARDAI are investigating after two houses were destroyed in the latest attack on Traveller housing in Co Clare.
Four of the six homes at the Ashline development on the outskirts of Ennis were targeted in previous attacks and later boarded up by the council.
The remaining two houses, which were unoccupied at the time, were set alight with one building completely gutted.
The alarm was raised shortly before midnight on Friday when the fire service received a report of a house on fire. But when they arrived at the scene, crews found two houses ablaze.
The €1.7m Ashline scheme was first occupied in 1998. There have been several arson attacks at the site in that time culminating in the development's closure last November.
