Garda probe after suspected gangland shooting of teenager

GARDAI are investigating a suspected gangland shooting in Dublin this afternoon.

A teenager was shot on Sarsfield Road in Ballyfermot shortly after 3pm, near the Liffey Gaels GAA club.



The 18-year-old man has been taken to hospital.





" Gardai wish to appeal for witnesses that may have seen anything unusual or suspicious near the footbridge on the Con Colbert Road side of Memorial Park at approximately 3pm to contact Kilmainham Garda Station on 01-6669700, The Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station," a spokesman said.
