Gardaí issue separate appeals for two missing men in Galway and Cavan

Gardaí are seeking the public's assistance in tracing the whereabouts of two men who vanished over the weekend.

Galway teenager Finian Varden Kenny was last seen in Turloughmore in Athenry on Sunday.

He is 19 years old and is described as being 5’9 with brown hair and hazel eyes.

A Garda spokesperson said he wears a distinctive Alpine Lowe hat that is coloured light blue on the top and a darker blue on the bottom.

He often wears ear defenders that could be mistaken for headphones, and usually wears a scarf.

He was last seen wearing an olive green/khaki jacket, blue corduroy trousers and trek-style shoes.

Anyone with information about Finian's movements is asked to contact Galway Garda station on 091-576231 or Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.

In a separate appeal, gardaí have asked for the public's help in the search for Uldis Mikelsons, who has been missing for four days.

He disappeared after leaving his home in Swellan Lower, County Cavan on Friday.

Gardaí have described him as being 5’11 in height, of medium build, with brown hair and green eyes.

When last seen Uldis was wearing brown trousers, grey jumper and black shoes. He was carrying a blue coloured back pack.
