Three kittens have been re-homed after being discovered by Gardaí in Dublin city centre.

Gardaí tweeted the picture of the kittens, who were stuffed into a suitcase before being abandoned in the inner city.

Their tweet wrote: "3 Kittens found abandoned in a suitcase in Dublin 1 today. A reminder to everyone to be responsible pet owners."

Despite strong pleas from some of their Twitter followers, Gardaí have already found homes for the cute kittens.

A Gardaí spokesperson said: "The kittens that were found in the suitcase have all now found new homes, so all is well that ends well."
