A SIX-MONTH old baby girl has died at her home in Dublin this morning, and gardai have confirmed that they are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.
The baby died at the family home in Dublin’s north inner city.
It is understood the baby’s mother raised the alarm at approximately 7.30am.
“Gardai are investigating the sudden death of a baby,” a spokesman confirmed to independent.ie
“The discovery was made at 7.30 this morning and the baby was transferred to Temple Street Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
A post mortem was due to take place this afternoon – with garda sources stressing that the cause of the death remains unclear.
