Gardaí investigating after gunman fires 'several shots' at Newbridge home

Gardaí are investigating after several shots were fired at a house in Kildare early this morning.

The incident occurred in Dara Park in Newbridge at around 5am this morning.

Four people were in the house when the attack took place, though Gardaí said no one was injured.

The house was "lightly damaged" and a number of shotgun shells were found in that area.

Gardaí said they were keen to speak to a man seen near the house at the time of the shooting.

He was described as being around 5'9" in height, dressed in a black tracksuit, and spoke with a Dublin accent.

He left the area in a "small motorcar".
