Garda appeal after pedestrian (70s) seriously injured in road accident near church

GARDAI investigating a serious road traffic collision are appealing for witnesses.

The collision occurred on Grange Road, Donaghmede this morning on Thursday morning at 10.05 a.m.

A female pedestrian in her 70s was seriously injured when she was struck by a car and taken to Beaumont Hospital where she is in a serious condition.  The male driver and female passenger - both in their late 60s - of the car were uninjured.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information, particularly those who were in the area of the Holy Trinity Church this morning or the Donaghmede Shopping Centre to contact them at Coolock Garda Station on 01 - 6664200, The Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
