GAA star Oisin McConville landed his biggest prize yesterday when he married his sweetheart Darina Markey.
The couple exchanged vows at the bride's local chapel, the Church of the Holy Rosary, at Bridge-a-Crin, close to Dundalk. Darina is from nearby Tateetra.
Leading GAA players, including fellow All-Ireland winners with Armagh, were among the 300 family and friends who attended.
The celebrant was Father Jim McKeever, parish priest of Crossmaglen, the groom's home town.
Oisin's brother Jarleth was best man and two other brothers, Jim and Sean, were groomsmen.
The bridesmaids included the bride's friend Chelcy McDermott, sister-in-law Lynda Markey and cousin Christina Markey.
Joe Kernan and Paul Grimley, who managed the county team when Oisin played a key part in ensuring Armagh lifted the Sam Maguire Cup in 2002, were also among the guests who travelled the short distance from the church to a reception at the Ballymascanlon House Hotel.
The couple have postponed their cruise honeymoon so Oisin can play for Crossmaglen Rangers in the semi-finals of the All-Ireland club competition.
