GAA legend Egan out of intensive care

SIX-time All-Ireland winner John Egan has been moved out of intensive care following a fall at his home in Bishopstown in Cork city.
Egan (58) suffered a number of broken ribs and a dislocated shoulder in an accident at his home on February 26. The Kerry footballing legend has been a patient at Cork University Hospital since then.
He was in an induced coma for a few days, but has subsequently been moved out of intensive care.
In a statement to the official Kerry GAA website, his family thanked members of the public for their support during the past week.
They also asked that "John's privacy and the family's privacy be respected at this time".
