GAA joins team promoting IT skills

The GAA has joined forces with Microsoft Ireland to launch the third annual Youth2Work scheme.

Youth2Work is an initiative created by Microsoft and FIT to equip 10,000 young people with technology skills which are in demand by employers all across Ireland.

With a €3m investment from Microsoft, the programme is ahead of its targets with 7,800 young people either trained, in further education, employment or in training right now, after the first two years.

This year, the GAA has come on board to introduce Youth2Work to communities in Cavan and Monaghan.

Irish Independent Comments Facility

INM has taken the decision to remove the commenting facility on its online platform to minimise the legal risk to our business that arises from Ireland's draconian libel awards system.

We continue to look forward to receiving comments through direct email contact or via social media, some of which may still be featured on the website
