ASPIRING doctor Rosemary Salaja got a helping hand for her future ambition in medicine.
The student from Athlone, Co Westmeath, got up close to a human skeleton as the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) opened its doors to potential students.
More than 400 students were given a taste of life as a medical, pharmacy or physiotherapy student at the RCSI open day.
Among the other props on display to inspire young minds were DNA models, microscopes and surgical virtual reality simulations.
RCSI provides education and training in the healthcare professions and is one of Ireland's foremost research centres.
