Former Taoiseach Bertie Ahern gets soaked in ice bucket challenge
FORMER Taoiseach Bertie Ahern has gotten a soaking as he took on the ice bucket challenge.
He was nominated by his daughter Cecelia.
"And Dad accepted the ice bucket challenge," she tweeted with a link to the challenge.
He nominated his brother Maurice to follow in his footsteps.
Earlier actress Amy Huberman accepted the challenge from rugby's Cian Healy and posted a short clip online saying: “Here you go @ProperChurch ! Sorted. Won’t need a bath for another week now.”
Before drenching herself with the ice cold water she referred to Healy’s ice bucket challenge which involved the help of Blanchardstown Fire Brigade.
“I was going to do mine topless with some firemen as well but I didn’t want it to look like I was stealing your idea,” she said.
After throwing a saucepan full of water over her head, she passed the challenge on to Eurovision legends Dana, Linda Martin and Johnny Logan.
Her husband Brian O’Driscoll has also carried out the challenge in aid of the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
