Flatley joins dads to drive away cancer
LORD of the Dance Michael Flatley has joined with other Irish celebrity 'dads' in a Father's Day boost for cancer research.
Mr Flatley -- a proud father of one -- has teamed up with Padraig Harrington, Paul McGinley and Shane Lowry to raise funds for Breakthrough Cancer Research (BCR).
The campaign -- dubbed 'Drive for Dads' -- is focused on the types of cancers which affect men.
It will feature a golf theme and will boast the support of dozens of golf clubs across Ireland.
Participating clubs will add €2 to members' and non-members' green fees from June 17 to 24 -- with all the proceeds going to BCR.
"As a proud father, golfing fanatic and supporter of BCR, I cannot think of a better gift a dad could receive on Father's Day than the opportunity to help save the lives of men throughout Ireland in their fight against cancer on the golf course," Mr Flatley said.
