Five under arrest in social welfare fraud probe

Gardai have arrested five people in relation to fraudulent social welfare claims.
Three men, aged in their teens, twenties and thirties, and two women, in their twenties and forties, were being held today at a number of Dublin garda stations.
The arrests were made at houses in north and west Dublin this morning after fraud squad gardai, assisted by inspectors from the department of Social Protection, raided them.
A large number of documents were seized in the operation which is part of an ongoing investigation into fraudulent welfare claims.
